I am a little off on posting daily like I had planned, but unfortunately between the boyfriend and I, one or the other, and most recently both have been sick the past week. Now, we both are getting over it. Ugh… I have finally gathered up enough energy to put together this quick post though!
Instead of going back every day and posting all we ate, I will just do a few quick reviews since I did not have the energy to make all of the food, let alone take the photos of everything.
The yummiest thing I made this week was the island pork tenderloin! Major yums!!
To make the rub, I started with some salt, pepper, cinnamon, cumin and chile powder.
Next, I gave both sides a nice coating of the rub.
We have officially started P90X!!! Follow me here daily on my journey, taking this fat girl to a skinny bitch! For the next 90 days this will be my extra bit of motivation and a way to track my progress.
I am a few days behind on posting so I will be posting our first few days ASAP!
Off to a good start here! Loving the food! Currently I am doing Phase 1: Fat Shredder, Level 3. As you can see from the photos, I will not be going hungry! Here are my meals throughout the day!
Mushroom omelette time! These things are HUGE!! As you can see, it actually hangs off the sides of the plate! I am going to cut back on the eggs I believe because I could not finish the whole thing. I was 1/2 way through it and I was STUFFED!!!!
As you can see we are ready, willing and well, hopefully able. LOL I knocked out the grocery shopping the other night! Took me 2 hours to get everything we need!
Lord! Can you say THAT’S A LOT OF FOOD??? Doesn’t look like we are starting a new diet does it?
We took our 3rd bedroom, took everything out and dubbed it our own personal little gym during the program! :o) Yay! Pics soon!
Time to get everything prepped and ready to go!
Wish us luck! Since we work nights we will now have a goofy schedule. Lord knows I will be loading up on a bit of coffee before hand to keep myself going!
Stay tuned for the daily updates!!!
Hands up, how many of you big girls have been asked when you’re due?? I know my hand is WAY up in the air.
In fact, after one of my previous bosses asked me when I was due, my self-image and esteem was gone. The shirt I had been wearing had an empire waist so of course it was flowy at the bottom and made me look a bit bigger, but none of that mattered to me. I got the image of myself being HUGE stuck in my head and actually started buying maternity clothes just because I felt like that was the biggest outfit I could buy to cover my belly. The bigger and baggier the clothes, the better. Sad part was, I had only gained about 20 pounds at the time so I was only sitting around 150. I thought I was HUGE.
I went from wearing medium to 2X just because I felt like it hid my body. It enhanced my comfort zone so to speak. I could escape in the clothes and hoped that it would stop the comments.
Alright, alright… kinda cliche, I know. New Year, almost everyone and their brother decides to start a new diet. I myself did this LAST year, had sucess, and then failed miserably. I found out quickly why they say check with your doctor before starting a new diet or work out plan.
I was kicking ass there for a while!! I started the year off at 250 and a size 24 and dropped to an 18 and 220 pounds in almost no time! Unfortunately, I hit a snag a little way through the year. Lost 10 pounds, gained 20, lost 15, gained 25. I was pissed, down right stumped and gradually just gave up. Had I went to the doc before hand I would have found out about the hypothyroidism (which you can read about in earlier posts) and would have been able to get the medication and diet plan that worked with my condition.
Wishing everyone a very happy, healthy and merry Christmas!!!!!
Recently I have had a busy schedule and have not had a lot of time or energy to do the healthy cook at home meals, so what did I end up falling back on? FAST FOOD!
I am not gona lie, I LOVED my fast food! I mean it is easy, convenient and well, fast! But after 3 weeks of eating almost nothing BUT fast food… my scale was pretty pissed off at me. I had went from the 203 that I was soooo excited about, since I was getting close to going under that 200 mark, back up to 223! In 3 weeks! Oi!
I know some of you have been wondering where I have been! I have been super busy and had an awesome trip to Vegas to celebrate my birthday!! I have fallen behind on my posts, like waaaaaaaay behind! You have no idea how many posts I have half way written and some that are ready to go! I hope to have all of these up and going within the week, most likely Sunday and Monday.
I am also working on what some people call a “lifeline support group” to help everyone stick together while on their path to healthiness! :o) Details coming soon!!
This will be a short, but sweet update! I have lots of new things to share, but I am currently trying to get everything in my life caught up so that I can focus on posting some awesome updates, new pages and some info on a book that is in the works!! ;o)
Got some good news that I wanted to share too! Since my doc has been helping me with the hypothyroidism, I have been losing weight! 22 pounds in just the first month! You have no idea how awesome it is to actually see and feel results! Went in for my one month overview and it looks like my thyroid is actually starting to produce a tiny bit more of the hormones than it was! It is not a ton more, but it is a start and I am ecstatic about it! :oD At least I know that it can still work! LOL
Anywhos, I have lots of posts half way written and many things in the works that I hope to share within the following days!!
